Service Initiative

Purpose: The Service Initiative Committee is focused on promoting and organizing community outreach
and volunteer opportunities that align with Pentagon’s mission to support nursing professionals
and the Greater Cleveland area. This committee identifies and implements service projects that
offer meaningful contributions to public health, education, and other areas that benefit both
nurses and the communities they serve. By fostering a spirit of service, the committee identifies
opportunities for members to engage in volunteer efforts that enhance their professional
development while giving back to our community.

Key Responsibilities:

Social Media

Purpose: The Social Media Committee is dedicated to managing and enhancing the online presence of
Pentagon by creating and sharing content that informs, engages, and connects nursing
professionals. This committee plays a crucial role in promoting Pentagon’s mission, events,
resources, and professional development opportunities through LinkedIn and Facebook social
media platforms. It ensures Pentagon remains visible, relevant, and supportive to its members
by fostering a digital community that encourages growth, education, and collaboration in the
nursing profession.

  • Creating and sharing relevant content, including articles, event promotions, and

SWAG

Purpose: The SWAG Committee is responsible for organizing and overseeing the creation of means for
members to order promotional branded materials that enhance Pentagon’s engagement and
branding efforts. This committee works to select items that align with ANPD’s culture, values,
and events, ensuring that every member can receive high-quality, thoughtful
SWAG that promotes a positive experience and fosters a sense of community.

Transition to Practice

Purpose: The Transition to Practice Committee is a collaborative group of educators dedicated to
enhancing the transition experience for newly graduated nurses. This committee serves as a
platform for members to share best practices, evidence-based strategies, and innovative
approaches to support the successful integration of new graduates into clinical practice. By
exchanging insights and experiences, the committee fosters the development of effective
programs that promote professional growth, improve retention, and ensure new nurses are
equipped with the skills and confidence needed to excel in their roles.
